Because of this we've created JailHost - an advanced level security option that isolates websites from each other. In the event that an Internet site is compromised, its attacker will not be able to find or access any other content outside the website folder, so all the rest of the sites hosted within this account will be protected and will remain intact. The JailHost option won't replace carrying out regular script updates or using complex passwords, but it will minimize the damage to your websites significantly, so you will need to fix only one site instead of all of them.
JailHost in Shared Hosting
If you host your sites inside a shared hosting account from our firm, you'll be able to protect them using the JailHost option with just a couple of mouse clicks within your Hepsia Control Panel. This option is provided with all plans and can be enabled for each folder because the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have individual folders, so files for various websites do not get mixed up like it quite often happens with other Control Panels. We have not activated JailHost by default as you could use scripts that require access to folders outside the primary site folder and this option could interfere with their correct operation, but securing all the other folders is simple and easy. In case any protected Internet site gets hacked for some reason, we can restore it without delay since we will have multiple daily backup copies of your entire account and you will even be able to search the available backups using Hepsia.
JailHost in Semi-dedicated Servers
JailHost comes with all our semi-dedicated server packages and you can activate it with a few clicks. It is not turned on by default since we do not want to prevent some scripts that may need to gain access to multiple folders in the account from functioning properly. You could activate JailHost for all other sites that you have from the Hepsia Control Panel and you can do this easily even when you have no previous experience. What enables us to offer JailHost is the way in which Hepsia handles multiple domains - they all have individual folders which can be "locked". In comparison, other popular Control Panels have add-on domains and the content of the latter is stored in the primary domain folder, so if a single site is hacked, the entire account is hacked, that isn't the case with Hepsia. If a site is damaged despite your efforts, we'll be able to restore it the way it was right away since we'll store a few daily backup copies of your entire account.
