Catch-all Emails
What is a catch-all e-mail account? How does one work? How can you configure this kind of account?
A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a typo. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam email messages, but this issue can be resolved by using anti-spam filtering software. It is also essential to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
Creating a catch-all email mailbox will be truly easy in case you have a Linux shared hosting with our company. You can enable the feature through our advanced, yet easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the account itself. You will find all the email addresses that you’ve set up shown in alphabetical order and on the right side of each one there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately notify you whether a particular mailbox stores all the emails associated with a certain domain or not. With a single click on the icon you can enable or disable this option at any moment. If there is enabled email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a warning from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your approval.
- Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
A catch-all address can be set up with a couple of clicks of the mouse if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be managed through our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to create email addresses with any domain name registered there. To enable the catch-all option for a certain mailbox, you will have to click the button with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Disabling the feature can be accomplished in the exact same manner and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all option has already been enabled for a certain domain, you will receive a warning alert. The same is valid if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never change or deactivate anything automatically. - Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
